Hackjob

I just gave Jude an Amish boy's haircut.  Oops.  #hackjob

I had (have) been cutting his hair myself until about three months ago, when he got his first *real* haircut at Jude's Barbershop (pics to come).  I thought it was time for a touch-up.  But his hair is thicker now - I call it his Man Hair - and it's time for me to give up this hobby.  PUT DOWN THE HAIR SCISSORS.

"Fee (short for "Feo"), how could the caterpillar eat all these fings?!"

I'm biased, but this is cute overload.

his name is steve.

i was listening to NPR while driving to my parents' house with the boys.  there was a man being interviewed, and as he spoke about his area of expertise jude piped up from the back seat: "who's talking?"

"a guy," i replied. "i don't know his name."

there was a brief pause.

"his name is steve," jude said, deadpan and matter-of-fact.

i smirked to myself.  "oh, really?" i said, accommodating his make-believe world.

seconds later the woman conducting the interview said, "well, thank you steven for speaking with us..."

oh for heaven's sake.
